Please follow the steps below to complete your application for admission to Providence. Please note that we are unable to secure spots for any students until we have received all of the required items and have scheduled your family interview. Your placement priority is secured as soon as we schedule a family interview date.
For your convenience, a checklist of all required documents is provided below:
- Research and Pray
If offered admission to Providence, you will be required to sign a document indicating agreement with Providence's Statement of Faith. Please review our Statement of Faith to ensure there are no conflicts with your personal beliefs.
Research what it means for your child to be educated with the Classical Methodology and what a University-Model® school will mean for you and your family.
Pray. Prayerfully consider your family’s needs for education and whether those needs would best be met through a partnership with Providence Preparatory Academy.
- Submit Admission Applications
Families should submit ONE family application:
and a student application for EACH student:
- Pay Application Fee
A non-refundable application fee of $75 per family is due at the time of application submittal.
If you prefer to pay by check instead of online, checks may be made out to Providence Preparatory Academy and mailed to:
2730 Northchase Parkway SE
Wilmington, NC 28405
Please write "Application Fee" in the memo line.
- Finalize Application
Have your pastor or a church leader close to you complete and submit Pastoral Reference.
Pastoral Reference Form
For rising 1st grade and above, have the student's current teacher complete and submit the appropriate Student Evaluation Form. If your child is currently homeschooled, please complete the form yourself as honestly as you can.
Student Evaluation Forms:
Rising 1st - 3rd Grade
Rising 4th Grade and Above
For rising 3rd graders and above, provide a copy of the most recent report card and standardized test results.
- Family Interview and Placement Screening
Once the above steps have been completed, you will be contacted to schedule a family interview. We request that both parents and the applying student(s) attend the interview. If someone other than a parent will be teaching student(s) on the satellite days, they will also be required to attend the family interview.
The goal of this meeting is to ensure that the fit between your family and Providence Preparatory Academy is satisfactory so that this educational choice is a positive one for your family. Any final questions or concerns you may have will be addressed at this time. Placement screening will be administered at a later date.
